I have no problem copying files to and from the cloud from the command line or using Krusader. I can map these remotes to wherever I'd like on UNRAID without problem (such as /mnt/disks/google). All this is working as expected (I'm familiar with RCLONE). I followed gridrunner's amazing guide and configured RCLONE with a dropbox and google drive remote.

However i'm having some issues with using SMB shares in OSX with a very specific use case of writing to a rclone mounted cloud drive. I've been setting up an UNRAID server and so far I'm extremely pleased. Hopefully this helps someone else and if anyone has any clues about this strange behavior please chime in. GDFS has been a bit wonky so far, it's not exactly lightweight and it only works on later versions of OSX while I'm still using older versions for some of my production machines. I try to use the most basic/native solutions as I can and just being able to open a share is the simplest thing. I haven't tested large files and such but everything on that end is likely going to be an rclone issue.įinally, one might ask what the point of using Pathfinder to copy files as opposed to installing Expandrive or CloudMounter and the answer is that:

Cloudmounter and rsync mac#
Anyway I went ahead and tried using Pathfinder (alternate mac file manager) and everything copied fine. This was in 10.8 an 10.12.Ĭp: /Users/jhamburg/Desktop/test.pdf: could not copy extended attributes to test.pdf: Operation not permitted cp: test.pdf: Invalid argument However using CP from the terminal I got the following warning though the files would copy just fine. Kept getting (error -36) when using the finder. Once again I had absolutely no trouble at all copying files to SMB shares which were not linked to folders mounted to cloud services. here are more clues and a stupid workaround for anyone who might be running into this issue. Hello and yes I'm dealing with this at 2 a.m.
